He introduced himself as David from Global Academy and even mentioned my complete name, which was rather unsettling. I quickly called him out on it and insisted that he cease contacting me.

Somebody called claiming to be from Ace Insurance, and oddly enough, they already knew my first name. At first, I figured I must have got the name mixed up, so I just ended the call and looked them up online to see if it was actually my insurer ringing me. Good job I did because it wasn’t. The biggest tip I’ve picked up from dealing with these scams is just to hang up and verify the number right away.

No one answered when I called!

I picked up one time and there was nothing but silence before the call suddenly dropped. When I rang back, it just kept ringing without anyone picking up. I've blocked the number on my end, but they somehow manage to ring me up to three times daily.

Got a call from some guy called David claiming to be from Global Academy. He knew my first name and just started rambling nonsense. When I told him to take my number off their list, he said no. Felt like a complete waste of time, probably one of those dodgy scams trying to make a quick buck.

I get calls from this number about three times daily and it's really annoying! When I pick up and stay silent, they just hang up immediately. Now, I just ignore the calls as soon as I spot the number. It’s stressing me out, cos I worry it might be something important. Does anyone know how I can block it?

I tried ringing them back a few times, about four in total, and each time it was the same thing. There was a prompt where you could ask them to stop calling you, but when I called after selecting it, someone answered with a strong Indian accent but seemed unable to understand me, then just hung up. Proper strange behaviour.
