Hello there! For the past week and a half, I've been inundated with around six or seven calls daily from the number 01792 823142. I picked up the phone once and spoke to a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from the council. She wanted to check if all my repairs were current, to which I succinctly replied in the affirmative before hanging up. Despite that, the calls keep coming relentlessly - six or seven times a day! I haven’t answered since that initial call. It’s curious because this number has a Swansea area code, and here I am in West Yorkshire. It feels quite odd and definitely warrants some attention. I explained to her that there was no one by that name here, to which she responded that I must have signed up online for callbacks from them. Truth be told, I haven’t even touched this old mobile in over five years. I’ve merely held onto it because it’s tied to online accounts, and I no longer have access to the email linked to those. Therefore, the only reason I use this phone is for receiving verification texts. I’m completely baffled as to why I suddenly appear to be so sought after, especially since the surname she used was merely a shortened form of my proper name, which is quite complicated to pronounce. I firmly requested that she remove my details from their database without delay, and she promptly hung up on me.
