Hello there! For the past week and a half, I've been inundated with around six or seven calls daily from the number 01792 823142. I picked up the phone once and spoke to a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from the council. She wanted to check if all my repairs were current, to which I succinctly replied in the affirmative before hanging up. Despite that, the calls keep coming relentlessly - six or seven times a day! I haven’t answered since that initial call. It’s curious because this number has a Swansea area code, and here I am in West Yorkshire. It feels quite odd and definitely warrants some attention. A woman with an accent that definitely isn’t from the UK asked if I was Mrs XXX. Thing is, I don’t. Also, that mobile hasn’t been in proper use for years - only kept it as a backup for online accounts where I can’t get email anymore, so I use the phone for verification texts. The surname she used was a shortened form of my actual name, which is quite tricky to say, so I’m not sure how I got mixed up in this or why they keep calling me recently. I told her to take my details off their system straightaway, and then she just hung up. Bit annoying, really.
