I looked up the number and found this site, and nothing seemed suspicious at first. Recently, I tried to complain to the PHSO. Now, seeing that the PHSO might actually be linked to scams according to this page makes me wonder - and worry - how on earth they got hold of our phone numbers from the Ombudsman!

This number rang me earlier today, claiming to want me to take part in a survey for the PHSO, related to a case I’m actually involved in. I got a bit wary and had my phone set up to warn me about dodgy numbers, and sure enough, it flagged this one as a scam. I told the person on the line to get in touch with the PHSO themselves, and ask them to verify the survey company - but they said they couldn’t. I made it clear that I wouldn’t answer any more questions unless the PHSO confirmed they were legit, then ended things there. I made sure to record the whole call just in case.
