This company was absolutely authentic!

We just had a call from this lot as well, claiming to be from a company with the registration number CRN7863. However, a quick search on Google yielded absolutely nothing. They were quite insistent on getting our bank account details, so we swiftly ended the conversation! Quite the audacious move, if you ask me. They even knew our surname and home number, which left us feeling quite uneasy. We really can't stand these aggressive callers.

Honestly, we can be a bit daft at times, can't we? After tossing and turning all night, I finally decided to give the bank a bell and sort out a replacement card. It’d be grand if they could expedite the process, as their rather pushy manner was quite bewildering, especially for those of us who are on our own like I am.

The UPI just called our stepmum regarding some bank fees that we’re already addressing for her. How on earth did they get hold of her phone number? We only reached out to the bank a short while ago, and now these NPI folks seem to know everything! Is the bank sharing our details? This situation has us really worried. Has anyone got any idea how these people managed to get private information about bank accounts?

We've been getting calls from these folks claiming they can help us reclaim money for bank fees and asking for our credit card info. They didn’t mention any costs associated with this so-called service, and obviously, we’ve given them some bogus details instead. We’ve already flagged this to the police over in South Wales, and judging by what I've seen, we likely aren’t the first ones to raise the alarm. It’s high time the authorities did something about these con artists, given that they seem to have quite a bit of personal information.

Our dad has shared a rather similar situation with me, and it turns out these individuals were fully clued up on everything linked to his bank card details. She contacted her bank without delay, and they’re now looking into this as a case of fraud. The company, UPI, has been asked to initiate a claim for the £49 concerning the bank fees.

I received a call from UPI United Kingdom, specifically from a chap named Jason Pitt, who appears to be of African descent. He was regarding a legal matter about recovering bank charges. He asked for my card information and various other details. They mentioned sending over a pack of information about how to proceed with the claim. I ended up hanging up on them, but moments later, they rang back. We decided to ignore the call this time. By the way, I have a list of previous phone numbers related to this issue.

On the 10th of April, which happened to be a Bank Holiday, I received a call around 3:00 in the afternoon. The caller mentioned that HSBC was set to reimburse all our banking fees, credit card expenses, and loan insurance premiums. It appeared that they truly understood the strain their clients are experiencing due to the financial pinch we’re all feeling at the moment. The representative noted that they were aware of our longstanding relationship with the bank. Interestingly, she didn't seem to be English; I gathered she might be from India.

Our dear older cousin has been contacted by this number-let's hope they haven’t shared any personal information. Who could it be?

I've had this number calling me two or three times each day, claiming they're from an investigation firm linked to South Wales. It’s the first time these callers didn’t hide their number. The chap on the other end seems to be of Asian descent. The phone number is 09145798157. Honestly, it’s rather unsettling, and I’m wondering what their intentions are.

I received a phone call at my residence not long ago (on the 23rd of March, 2009) and I must say, they were rather pushy and somewhat unclear. Interestingly, my mother-in-law had a similar call last month, so I was ready for them. My partner made a solid point, suggesting I get some proper details from them before agreeing to fork out any cash. He rightly noted that I’m not one to hand over my card details to just anyone. Unsurprisingly, they ended up hanging up on me.

We received a rather interesting call from someone named Jon Paul. They mentioned that the purpose of the call was to discuss our bank charges. We let them know we had indeed encountered some charges, and to our delight, they took the time to clarify everything for us in a really thorough manner. They explained that there was a charge of £49.99, which we found quite enlightening. We're pleased to report that we’ve recently received £10 back from Barclays, which was a nice surprise! Now, we’re keen to sort out our funds with RBS and are looking forward to hearing back from Jon Paul regarding that.

I received a rather intriguing phone call that lasted about fifteen minutes. Initially, I spoke with one chap, but then the conversation was handed over to a supervisor. They claimed to be making calls on behalf of the Ministry of Justice. However, I started to feel a bit suspicious, so I did a quick check on their claims, and when I visited their site, I found a link directing me to the official MOJ website, which I promptly clicked on. Now, I thought if they could connect to the MOJ site, it might lend them some credibility. They initially stated that there would be no charges for these claims. Yet, after three attempts to extract our Nat West banking details- which I flatly refused, especially since we don’t even bank with them- they seemed to give up. Quite the experience, to say the least!

I’ve just received a call from UPI LTD, and it’s the same old nonsense we’ve been dealing with. We plan to report this to the national scam authorities and will engage the watchdog as well.
