That grey comment down there really shows why it's best not to return calls from numbers you don't recognise. This kind of thing happens way more often than you'd expect. No matter how convincing a cold call, text or email sounds, never share your details or sign up to anything. If you need to check, always ring the company using the number on your official paperwork. Scammers rake in millions by targeting loads of vulnerable people in the UK. Honestly, the fact so many got tricked into voting for Brexit just shows how easy it is for these con artists to fool folks!

This number called me twice in one week, saying they were from Sky and asking about my account. I don’t even have Sky, and the person on the line had a really thick foreign accent, couldn’t make out a word, so I just ended the call. Definitely a scam, be careful!

Got a call from someone saying they were with Sky, said my internet was running slow and that I was owed a refund because of their policy. They wanted me to grab my laptop or computer to enter my bank info so they could send the money back. But I know my provider already has my details, so I told them I reckoned it was a scam. Then they flipped it on me, saying I was the scammer and started shouting. I warned them I had their number and would report them, and they began swearing at me before I just ended the call.
