Beneficials have beeen ringing me for over a year now! About twice a week. Sometimes they stop for a few weeks then start bugging me again. How do they work? They gather ur personal info and share it with other firms or use it for other reasons. So if u answer their questions u’ll get calls from different companies too.

I got a call from a firm called Beneficial, and whenever I tried to find out where they got my phone number, they just talked over me. I asked straight up how they got my info but they never really answered, just kept chatting. I told them to stop calling as I wasn’t interested and made it clear they needed to remove my details from their system. I thought with GDPR in place, random companies like this wouldn’t be allowed to keep hassling us! Seems like they don’t care about fines. I’ve blocked the number now but I’m sure they’ll just call from somewhere else.

Had a ring earlier today, said it was a survey but mostly they wanted me to verify details like my address, age, if I own my home or rent, mortgage info, and if I’m married or single. Then they tried to sell me a woman’s and home magazine subscription which I said no to, but they kept insisting I accept it. Just as the caller was about to hang up, I asked if I could speak more and requested the company’s name spelled out. Then, they just disconnected!

Got a call from some company called Beneficial at half past 11 last night and then just now as well. They said I didn’t have to answer their questions, but when I said no, the woman got really annoyed and kept asking the same thing over and over. She started the call by mentioning their website, Beneficial[###], but when I looked it up, nothing showed up. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

She said she had some questions to ask and that it would be in my best interest to answer. When I asked why, she said if I didn’t, they’d keep calling me every day. I asked if that was a threat, and she said yes. I tried to get her name but she just ended the call soon after.

Got a call from this number just now, sounded exactly like what others mentioned here. I asked what it was regarding and they said it’s meant to block unwanted calls down the line. Got a pesky marketing call claiming to be from 'Benefit'. They wanted me to answer a few quick questions so apparently I'd stop getting ‘annoying phone calls’. First, they asked me to confirm my name, which they already knew. Then, my postcode - again, they had that info. Finally, they wanted my age range, but I wasn’t having any of it. They wouldn’t end the call, so I just hung up and blocked the number. I’ve reported it as phishing to ####.

A BIT SUSPICIOUS. Got a call from somewhere in Swansea from a firm called Beneficial. When I asked why they were ringing, they said if I took part in a quick survey I wouldn’t get any more ‘inappropriate calls’. They kept pushing me to say my name but didn’t answer when I asked how they got my number, what they’d do with my info, or what their company actually does. It felt a bit off, so I just ended the call politely.

I got a call from some company named Beneficial, and they were trying to get all my personal info. The person on the phone didn’t sound like they were from Swansea at all (which was a shame, 'cause Welsh accents are great!), and they completely butchered the way they said my name. After a quiet spell over Christmas, Beneficial started ringing again. They say they won’t bother you if you answer their questions, but it’s a lie because they keep ringing even when you do. Apparently, they’ve got loads of different numbers from all over the country. I asked the guy why he was calling since I’d already answered their questions before, but he just didn’t respond and hung up. I’ll just block another number and wait for the next time they call, which I’m sure will happen.

Got a call asking for a Sylvia Beck (definitely not me). Told them I wasn’t who they were looking for and asked them to take my number off their list. They said their “deal wasn’t exclusive” or something like that. Told them again to stop calling and remove me, then he just stayed quiet. The guy had an Indian accent. Blocked and reported him straight away.

Got a call from 01792735243 on 10/01/2020 at 15:02, claiming to be from “beneficial.” This isn’t the first time they’ve rang, prob second or third. Since I used to work for BT, I told them that, then mentioned they were cold calling which is actually illegal. They went quiet but I could hear some noise in the background. I just hung up after that.

They said they were from beneficial and claimed to be conducting a lifestyle survey. In reality, it's a scam where they share your info with loads of other firms, so you'll get endless calls from everywhere. Best thing to do is just hang up and block these muppets straight away.
