Received a call from some outfit naming themselves Smart Legal, supposedly based in Warrington. Oddly enough, the number registered as coming from Swansea, Wales. They claimed to be looking into pensions and pretended to represent the Financial Conduct Authority-definitely pushing that angle hard during their pitch. To make matters worse, they were rather discourteous in their approach. After hanging up, I decided to reach out to the Financial Conduct Authority myself, only to discover they’d no knowledge of this company whatsoever. They've assured me they'll look into the matter and lodge a report about the call.
