Got a call from some energy firm out of Swansea, didn’t quite catch their name. They knew my first name, my address and even how old my house is. Said they were offering grants up to £5,000 for boiler replacements if your boiler is over eight years old, all for better energy efficiency. Told them I wasn’t interested, they weren’t pushy and said they'd remove me from their calling list. Still a bit iffy about how legit they really are.

I didnt pick up but when it showed on my phone it said Liverpool, Scotland but then in my call log it was listed as Swansea, Wales! I never pick up unknown numbers unless I’m expecting someone to call.

I believe this was Consumer Energy Solutions ringing me. They're offering cash to do some work on my home, which sounds great but just isn't right for me. They don’t understand my situation and honestly, they won’t stop phoning! I hung up on one caller this morning and they rang me right back. The guy was rude and even threatening, trying to make me feel bad for turning them down. How rude is that! There is a grant available, sure, but if I ever need it, I’m not taking it from some random cold caller.
