3 yearsMy phone rang but I missed it and they dropped a voicemail saying somethin about thanks for calling and to ring back and leave a message. I haven’t bothered calling them and I’m not planning to either.11 yearsStay well clear of this outfit, they charge a fixed £299 for a survey, no exceptions. They told my mum, who’s on benefits, she’d qualify for a free boiler - absolute nonsense. This lot prey on the elderly and vulnerable, showing zero genuine concern. When I asked for a refund for my mum, they basically told me to get lost. I wanted to speak with the boss, found out his name is Rhodri, and he’s just as bad - only interested in lining his own pockets. Seriously, keep your older family members far away from these people. The only ones coming out on top are them - maybe they should change their name to Synergy, it's fitting.Rhodri11 yearsCheers to this firm for swiping £300 off my grandma’s account - honestly, I’ve never seen anyone get that much out of her before, so you’ve gotta be real experts at selling and chatting rubbish. Now she’s had to turn down her heating ‘cause she can’t afford the bills, so she’s cutting costs, but the downside is she might end up in hospital with pneumonia. Still, at least she’ll save a bit more on energy, right? So yeah, massive thanks again. A happy customer - caller: Someone with a tiny head or a large frame11 yearsIf anyone stumbles upon this page after receiving a call from this firm, please drop a comment with any details about what they told you during the call. To the person who posted on 21 May 2015, I really hope you check back here and find this message. You must write to the company to cancel within 14 days. Send your cancellation letter by recorded delivery and keep a copy for yourself. Also, be sure to email them to confirm the cancellation. If you haven’t already, report them to your local trading standards immediately. We need to put a stop to this company and its director, Rhodri Rees, before they distress more vulnerable or older people. Their details: Synergyhes.co.uk Registered office: AVC House, 21 Northampton Lane, Swansea, SA1 4EH Caller ID: SynergyHESRHODRIAVCNorthampton LaneSwansea11 yearsBeware of SynergyHES, they are just out to squeeze money from vulnerable older folks. Total sharks in my opinion.11 yearsMy mum got a call from a woman who said she was with Welsh Water, telling her she was owed a refund for overpayment. They mentioned the amount could be anywhere from £100 to £900, so mum gave her credit card info so they could sort it out. Unfortunately, she had doubts pretty quickly and cancelled her card, but it was already too late. They’d already taken £299.99 from her, and she hasn’t received anything back - no calls, no surveys, absolutely nothing. We’ve reported it to the bank, but who knows if she’ll get her money back. The company, SynergyHES, never warned that they’d charge anything; they just reel people in with the idea of a refund. It’s absolutely disgusting. My dad suffers from dementia and this whole thing is causing them both enormous stress. SynergyHES should be ashamed of themselves.Welsh WaterSynergyHES11 yearsIf you’re the person who left a message on 7th May, I really hope this reaches you. You should definitely get in touch with Trading Standards as soon as possible to report this and try to get a refund for your mum. The more people who report these issues, the stronger the case becomes. I’ve seen loads of similar complaints online about this company. Trading Standards can also guide you on what other steps you can take to reclaim your money. They seem to use all sorts of different tricks to convince people to pay £299.99. Regarding the refund for rainwater charges you mentioned, I believe that’s linked to Surface Water Drainage. Welsh Water have told me that they offer free support to anyone wanting to apply for this to check if they qualify. There’s been quite a few complaints about it too. If anyone else is dealing with the same problem, please share your experience. It’s important to understand how many people, especially elderly ones, might be getting caught up in this. Caller ID: SynergyHES / Synergy Home Energy Solutions Swansea - Rhodri ReesStandardsWelsh Water11 yearsMy elderly mum got a call from this company and somehow ended up handing over £299. They promised someone would visit her home for a survey, but nobody showed up when they said they would. This survey was completely unnecessary and way overpriced anyway. They claimed she was owed money because of rainwater, which sounded odd, and said she'd have to pay £299 for a certificate to claim it. We've managed to cancel the payment so far, but we’re not sure if it will go through. It’s been really upsetting for her. - caller: SynergyHESCaller11 yearsWatch out for this firm, they ring you up saying they can cut your gas and electric bills, then try to sneak in a home survey which ends up costing £299.
