I've been receiving frequent calls on my landline from a firm called Red Dot, and it seems they're peddling life insurance. Quite relentless, if you ask me!

Last week, my nan got a ring from this number, and they were pretending to be doing some kind of funeral review or something weird like that. The person on the phone had a sharp, kinda rude Eastern European accent, which put her right off. She asked me to look into it, and then I found comments similar to this one here. Glad the FCA is keeping an eye out for scams like this! These dodgy companies seem to be all over the place, especially along the M4 corridor from Wales to Reading. I've already reported them and reckon everyone else should too.

On Monday, I got a call from some dodgy sounding bloke with a thick European accent - definitely felt like a scammer to me.

I had a run in with Red Dot Group, this tiny setup down in Swansea. They have these so-called 'advisers' ringing up about life insurance, but from what I gathered, none of them have any proper financial qualifications. The staff there seem dodgy too - loads have criminal records or poor credit histories, stuff that would totally bar them from working in any decent company. The strategy seems to be to push insurance plans on folks over 50 and pretend they’re qualified experts. Total nightmare.
