I’ve been trying to reach my elderly neighbour in North London since 11th October 2020, but I keep getting these odd calls. The person on the line claims that there’s been ‘serious’ criminal activity linked to her internet usage, insisting she follow their keypad prompts to resolve the issue. It’s quite ridiculous, really, as she doesn’t even use the internet! They never identify her by name nor explain what this so-called ‘serious’ crime entails. Oddly enough, the area code is from Swansea. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
