someone rang me claiming to be from microsoft, saying my pc was hacked or something. i’ve gotten calls like this in the past, so i told them i wasn’t buying it and ended the call. still, it left me a bit uneasy, so i looked up the number just to be safe. turns out it’s definitely a scam, and loads of others have had similar calls. i’m glad i didn’t get tricked. if you get calls like this, just hang up and look up the number before doing anything. don’t engage with them at all.

I just ignored the call. Caller said they were from Microsoft, which seemed off. My call blocker showed it as an overseas number. I'm gonna block that one now.

When I answered, there was this awkward silence for a bit, then a guy with a really thick foreign accent started saying he was from Microsoft and needed to discuss my computer. I just ended the call straight away.

I kept saying hello but got no reply, so eventually I lost my patience and shouted "f¥r srk off". They've been ringing me a bunch over the last few days. I'm not daft enough to fall for the rubbish these muppets try to pull.

I didn’t pick up. My call blocker showed it was an overseas number. I’m just going to block it now. A bloke who called me the other week from another number said he was persistent. Like I’d get caught by the same nonsense twice!

Got a few calls today from some guy who claimed to be Steve Johnson from Microsoft. He said my computer info was being used somewhere in the US and wanted me to turn it on. I told him straight no, and that I wasn't about to do that. Then he started saying my computer was at risk. I told him to remove me from their call list and hung up. The third time I didn’t even pick up, but he left a voicemail saying they were blocking access to my computer or something like that. Weird and dodgy for sure.

Got a call about my internet. I just said “yeah” to everything. They asked if I was the main user, I said “yeah” again. When they mentioned there was an issue, I said “yeah” once more. Then they hung up. Total scam!
