I've just fallen victim to a scam. They managed to access my computer via the viewfinder and then had the audacity to request my card information. When I pointed out that they should have that information on hand already, their tone turned hostile, and they abruptly ended the call. To my surprise, they tried ringing me back again! The caller claimed to be from TalkTalk.

Received a dodgy call purporting to be from TalkTalk. The chap on the other end insisted there was an issue with my internet service. When I questioned him, he got quite belligerent and abruptly ended the call. Very suspicious!

I've received three phone calls from this number lately, especially after that incident with the TalkTalk website. All they've got is my account number-nothing else. They're trying to convince me that my computer is infested with thousands of viruses due to issues with my router. It's a right worry for anyone who's not tech-savvy or in the know about web matters; one might easily fall for it... - Caller: So-called TalkTalk.
