Someone rang me pretending to be from Virgin Media's tech team, saying my router was flagging issues. They asked me to run a speed test through Google and then claimed my upload speeds were way below par. Next, they tried to get me to install an app called Anydesk from the Play Store, which would’ve let them control my phone or PC remotely. I told them to ring back in 10 minutes and phoned Virgin Media myself. Pretty obvious it was a scam.
