So, our local code called me recently-once a few days ago and then again today. The first time it was completely silent, but earlier today I received an automated message about a bill. I decided to hang up immediately.

I can confirm that these individuals were indeed showcased in the BBC3 series, The Ring Centre. I've just lodged a formal complaint with both the Information Commissioner's Office and the BBC regarding this matter.

We keep receiving calls from this number all the time. Typically, it’s just some sort of automated message. To be honest, we’ve no idea what these callers are after because we hang up as soon as the message begins.

I get calls like 5 times daily from this automated message telling me to press number 2. When you do, you get put through to someone trying to give out a supposedly free boiler paid by the government... They hardly ever leave a phone number, but today they did - it was 01792357159. Virgin Media told me they have no way to block these calls :(

If this really is a call centre linked to the BBC as some say, then surely they ought to let the public know that they’re ringing people who've signed up with Telephone Preference Service, which is not allowed. On top of that, they're doing those "silent" calls, which breaks OfCom’s regulations. I get these calls nearly every day, and somehow their calls come around the same time each day, so I just hang up without answering now.

I usually check the caller ID first and avoid picking up if the number looks unfamiliar. Lately, I've been getting loads of annoying calls from numbers starting with 01792.

got a call from some number but no one spoke, when i rang back it said the line was down temporarily, looks like they just wanna call out but not take any calls back.
