I keep getting calls from loads of different numbers with different area codes. I just ignore them completely, and I’d advise you not to answer or engage with them at all. They sometimes leave voicemail messages for a woman (which is odd since I’m definitely a bloke), but it’s just a trick to get you to ring them back. Sure, I do owe quite a bit to banks and credit card firms, but that was ages ago, like over seven years back, and those debts have been written off. What these companies do is buy up old debts for next to nothing and then hassle you to cough up some money.
