Got a call with no sound, seemed like one of those automated ones that usually end up trying to scam you. They hung up before saying anything. Watch out!

Got a call on my landline. When I said I wasn’t turning on my computer, he started threatening me with fines. I asked how they’d even collect the money, and he told me to come down to their office in Reading. I then asked for his phone number, saying I’d only talk if a mate who knows about computers was there with me. He said that wasn’t allowed and only I could provide info! He was pretty rude about it. Then not long after, he called back asking why I was refusing to give him the details, said he’d block my computer, and ended up hanging up on me.

Around half past one today, this number rang our landline. There was a weird silence and odd sounds before a lady with a really heavy Asian accent asked for either me or my missus by our last name. It felt sketchy right away, loads of noise in the background too. I just hung up straight away. Might be one of those dodgy scam calls, so best be careful.

A caller claimed to be from Microsoft and insisted that I switch on every computer so they could run some sort of debug. They wouldn't take no for an answer. I reckon this could be quite risky, especially for those who might not be as tech-savvy.

I got a call from 01792 349901 at about 8:48 this morning, but the line went dead as soon as I picked up. Had a look through my missed calls and noticed they’ve rung me before when my phone was off. The number shows up as Swansea, Wales, and I’ve heard that some call centres there try to scam folks by fishing for personal info or tricking you into downloading an app that actually lets them into your phone. My advice? Don’t click on any links, hang up straight away, and block the number.

Today, this number rang my home phone and when I picked up, I could hear voices chattering away in the background. After a moment, a lady with an Asian accent came on and used my name. I told her straight up that I was busy and didn’t want to waste time chatting as I suspected it was a scam. She then got a bit rude and shouted at me not to speak like that. I didn’t hold back and gave her a bit of my opinion before ending the call. The noise of people talking in another language made it obvious it was one of those scam call centres.

Had a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft Support. They said my name correctly but mentioned an address I’ve never been to, with a postcode that’s totally made up. When I pointed that out, they wouldn’t back down and told me they’d cancel my computer’s license so I wouldn’t be able to use it anymore. Bit of a classic scam, really.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft Corp. I told them I only use Apple products and don’t have any Windows at all, but they still wouldn’t back off. I tried to say I was busy and needed to go, but they kept going on about cancelling licences. Even when I said alright, go ahead, they just carried on chatting. I finally said goodbye and hung up. Almost straight away they called back, but I just let it go to voicemail, and they didn’t leave any message.

I've been getting these dodgy calls for ages, it's like the oldest scam on the net. Can't believe people still get caught out by it! If you get any suspicious calls or texts, make sure you report them. Just search 'action fraud' and visit the UK police website. There's a phishing report section near the end of the page where you can file your complaint. Reporting these jokers is the only way to put a stop to it.

I’ve been expecting a call about fixing my washing machine, and this number popped up on my phone earlier today. I called back after seeing the missed call, but heard a woman with an American accent saying it was an online service number. She asked me to leave my name and phone number. Then, I heard someone faintly say the voicemail was full and to try again later. Just as that happened, the call cut off, so I never got the chance to leave a message. Not sure what that was all about!
