Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. I picked up but didn’t say anything and just left the phone down. The person hung up after just a few seconds.

PPI calls are the worst - i told the guy "no thanks, not interested" and he told me i was being rude for interrupting him. This was the second time this company called in two days. He kept going on about how rude i was, hoped i lost loads of money, and even shortened my first name and mocked it. Funny thing is, when i asked for his name, he just wouldn’t tell me. Anyway, i dialled the number back and reported the call, and apparently the bloke’s been fired (or so they claim).

01792 315781 rang me about PPI, saying I was on a list and could claim some money back. When I asked who he was chatting to, he just said "you sir." I asked again for my name if I'm on the report, but he couldn’t give one. I told him it’s a work phone so to remove my number and I blocked him straight away.

Got a call from this number, seemed totally normal at first. Then they started asking loads of questions about my address and stuff, and stupidly I gave it to them! After that, they said I’d get an email to confirm and tomorrow a message to sign. I’m NOT gonna do that after reading these comments. Thanks everyone for sharing, really helped me realise what’s going on. Just hope I don’t get into any trouble because of it.

I used to work in PPI about 13 years back and tried telling the bloke that, but he just wouldn't stop chatting. Told him "been there, done that," but he carried on and got a bit nasty. Asked to speak to his manager, and turns out it was him all along! When I called him out, he denied it until I told him to jog on. I blocked the number and will do the same with any others from that area code. I've done sales for 25 years in loads of roles, and this whole setup seems like a total scam. The FCA would have a field day and shut it down quick. Definitely stay clear!

They told me it was about PPI and that I either had a claim turned down before or never made one, so apparently my name came up for a no obligation check. Kept saying no obligation loads of times which made me wary, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from mspc but wouldn’t explain the reason for calling. They wanted to verify if I was the person they were trying to reach, but kept it vague. Tried looking up mspc in Swansea (the bloke had a Welsh accent) but found nothing. I wasn’t about to give any personal info to a firm I’d never come across before. They kept saying it was due to data protection rules that they couldn’t say what their company does. In the end, they just ended the call.

They never told me who they were. Just said I'd be getting a call (didn't even use my name, no idea where they got it from). I asked them who they were but then they just hung up.

Got calls from this number before and even a text saying the DVLA urgently needs to get in touch about a refund. Deleted straight away as it's obviously a scam trying to get your bank info. DVLA would never ask for bank details like that, any refunds come as a cheque. Don’t fall for it.
