Could be Unite, or maybe one of their partners who got a deal to offer members something special - if so, their marketing's definitely backfiring. Or it might just be some company cold calling anyone and hoping dropping Unite’s name will make people a bit more friendly since they have loads of members.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Unit (union). They wanted me to verify the first line of my address and postcode, which I did. But then they asked me the exact same thing again, so I said "You just asked me that", and then they suddenly ended the call.
