Got a call from RG Insurance claiming they were ringing about my Unite membership, then quickly switched to talking about life insurance. When I told them they had the wrong person - after all, if legit, they’d have my proper details - the woman on the phone turned really nasty. I asked if the call was being recorded and requested a manager to ring me back after hearing the recording, because it was clear they initially said it was about membership before pushing life insurance out of the blue. Pretty sure they won’t bother calling back though.

Its an insurance firm claiming to ring from Unite. They try to get you to sign up for life insurance through them. Seems like Unite sold their contact lists to LV a while back. Bit of a pain they haven’t checked if Im still a member before hassling me constantly.

I received a rather alarming phone call from the number listed above. A recorded male voice claimed to be from BT, stating my Internet and landline would be cut off today. They urged me to press 2 to go ahead with the termination of services. Naturally, I hung up straight away. Moments later, my landline rang again, but when I answered, all I got was an unending dialling tone. It seems they were pretending to be BT.

This call ain't no scam. Sick of folks jumpin straight to that conclusion. It's from Unite union. I'm part of it myself. Their support centre is based in Swansea. They usually try to sign you up or pitch life insurance stuff. THIS NUMBER IS REAL, no doubt.

I received a call from this number at exactly 1:34 PM on the 1st of March, 2019. Luckily, my phone has a nifty feature that prevents calls from any numbers not saved in my contact list, so it didn't bother me with a ring. As for the caller? Not a clue who it was.
