I got a call from them yesterday, picked up and they just cut off straight away. Then today they rang again, I answered and after about 6 seconds I heard a message saying “This is RTA, no agents are available atm but we’ll ring you back later” and then the call ended.

I got a call from a bloke claiming to be from RTA Business consultants, asking for the business manager. I told him the manager was tied up and couldn’t come to the phone, then the guy got really rude. After hanging up, he kept ringing back loads of times. Best to steer clear.

I reckon it’s the same annoying lot that constantly ring my landline trying to pitch buying my business.

They keep ringing me non stop, their phone etiquette is awful. I usually just end the call straight away. But this time, after I asked a few questions, the unconvincing caller let slip that some Business Consultant was supposedly interested in buying my company. I just put the phone down.

Recently got caller ID set up to tackle this ongoing nuisance. They ring multiple times a day, every day, and they seem to switch which annoying person is calling so you don’t think it’s the same lot. Definitely some kind of cold call scam - really pushy and quite rude if you say anything back. Our phone doesn’t let us block numbers but now we just ignore the calls altogether. Honestly, it’s just a drain on time and patience.

RTA - When I’m bored I usually answer and say I’ll pass them on to the owner. Then I put them on hold for a bit. If they’re still there when I come back, I tell them the owner wants to chat and ask them to wait a little longer. Since I’m the only one running the place, when I finally get back to the call I ask who they are and then tell them I’ve already said I’m not interested at all. Bit childish, sure, but it sure wastes their time!

This number keeps ringing me and just hanging up as soon as I pick up. Their website seems all fancy and claims they sell businesses. What's odd is, they show loads of different towns with local numbers for each, but if you call any of them, the same person picks up every time! Even their 0800 393 664 number for "New Business" has the same person answering. Feels like a total scam if you ask me. Their main office is listed in Stockport at 0161 432 8161, Discovery House, Crossley Rd, Stockport SK4 5BH, but I bet it’s just a tiny room they rent out.

I told her that was pretty unclear and asked for more details. Then she said it had to do with the future plans of the business. They'll start off asking what price you’d put on your business and then after you sign up, they hit you with upfront charges plus a cut of whatever value you named.
