I just received a call from someone claiming to be with BT, insisting that my internet security had been compromised! They warned me that if I didn’t follow their instructions and something happened to my online security or personal details, it would all be on me since they were recording the conversation. They even mentioned I should check my IP address, but only on a laptop or desktop, to verify my internet identity and ascertain the legitimacy of the call! I hung up on him, but honestly, I’m quite shaken by the whole thing. I'm desperate to find out if this was a legitimate call or if it was just a scam. The very idea is making my stomach do somersaults!
