8 yearsI just got a call from this number claiming they were from BT, saying my internet was being hacked! They told me if I didn’t follow their instructions, and then my internet or personal info got stolen, it would somehow be my fault because they were recording the conversation. They also wanted me to check my IP address, but only on a laptop or desktop, not on a phone or tablet, saying that way I’d know the call was real. I ended up hanging up straight away, but honestly, the whole thing has left me proper shaken. Could someone please tell me as soon as possible if this was legit or just a scam?
