Got a call trying to sell insurance, and they insisted on getting bank details and the sort code. They got proper rude when I refused. The annoying part is they were ringing an 87-year-old woman. Thankfully, I've made sure she passes calls like this straight to me since I’m her carer. When they rang back, I told them I’d looked up that company’s name they mentioned (turns out it’s based in Australia) and the number they first used yesterday wasn’t even real.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, I asked where he was ringing from and he said San Francisco. He was trying to get me to agree to a cheaper warranty deal for my TV and washing machine. I told him straight up I’m not falling for a scam like that and asked him to stop calling me. Next thing I know, he calls back and accuses me of lying! I told him he’s the real crook, then he just ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming he was calling about insurance for my washing machine. I stayed on the line just to hear him out. He mentioned my washing machine’s lifespan was roughly 15 years and since I’d only had mine for 4 years, it would cover repairs during that period. Just as he was starting to give a price and ask for my bank info, I cut the call.
