When I received a call from them, they were rather eager to know the reason for my attempt to reach out. I promptly informed them that it wasn’t me initiating the call, but rather they had rung my number. They claimed it was regarding some correspondence from HMRC that I'd received. I pointed out that it seemed rather dubious for them to be phoning at half past eight in the morning and suggested it might well be a scam. The chap on the other end didn’t take kindly to my comment and began to raise his voice as I ended our conversation.
