Got another call where they just dropped the line on me. This is the second time today, both times from area codes like 01788. Seems like scam callers are getting more active again after things calmed down for a while.

This was one of those quick rings that connect straight away, then a bloke chatting with an accent from the Indian subcontinent. I just assumed it was one of those dodgy scam call centres. He claimed to be from BT, saying there was an issue with my internet. The guy sounded pretty pushy and refused to admit he might be scamming, even though my internet was perfectly fine and he’d got the wrong info for my account. Honestly, he should find a proper job instead of trying to con people like that.
