i live outside the UK and have no ties there, but got a call from some bloke with a thick Scottish accent. i couldn’t make sense of what he was saying, and when i told him that, he just ended the call.

I've been receiving multiple calls from this number over the past couple of weeks, and I'm over in Ireland. I've noticed in the remarks here that it might be linked to Shaw Academy. I did enrol for a trial with them last year but ended up cancelling because it felt like a bit of a scam. They still managed to siphon off a few payments from me, though. I’m definitely going to block this number; they seem rather untrustworthy.

I chose not to pick up, seemed dodgy since I’ve got no dealings with any UK numbers. Probably just a scam.

I received a call just a moment ago, and I couldn't help but notice it was rather late-10 PM over in Germany. I reckon it must be those folks from Shaw Academy getting in touch.

I just ignored the call.

They said they were from Shaw Academy and even knew my name, but I couldn't get them to prove they were legit.

Not sure what that was about, the call got cut off almost straight away.

I've had this number ring me two days straight - first at 2 in the afternoon and then again at 10 in the evening! How annoying!

This operation appears to be dubious for several reasons: 1. The trial information is deliberately misleading-there's an illusion that you can sign up for a free trial, yet there’s actually a payment option lurking in the shadows, not clearly communicated alongside cancellation terms. 2. The absence of a direct phone number or any sensible contact details is alarming-they expect you to fill in a lengthy form with your personal data without providing an avenue for a quick call. 3. The insistence on obtaining your credit card details raises eyebrows-before you know it, you’re slapped with charges despite the vague terms of the trial that fail to clarify payment obligations-it’s designed to set you up for a fee. 4. The supposed trial perks simply turn into a prompt for immediate payment. 5. I fell into this web, but promptly halted the payments-only to discover they bill for trial-related items right off the bat, leaving you blindsided until the charges appear. 6. Upon a closer look, the trial’s payment conditions are buried in the proverbial small print. Having stopped the payments, I realised I hadn’t even received the trial materials needed, yet they still expect payment for essentials linked to the trial. Quite concerning, if you ask me. A noteworthy point: none of their locations provide complete contact details-just vague addresses, which has got to make one suspicious-almost as if they took a course titled “Mastering the Art of Elusiveness for Profit.” Therefore, I can't endorse Shaw Academy for these reasons-I have additional emails from them that illustrate their attempts to obfuscate the situation, feigning ignorance while stringing one along. Just an FYI regarding their name-it's Shaw Academy; it’s easy to confuse them with variations like Shaws Academy or Shaw's Academy. After ceasing the payments, as evidenced by the screenshot I’ve attached, I hope this information is helpful-who-calls.me.uk has aided me on countless occasions over the last year. Two or three instances might not sound like much, but Shaw only needs a handful of unsuspecting victims to operate smoothly, so do tread carefully.

I reside in the Netherlands and received a call from this number yesterday, only for the line to go dead as soon as I answered. Upon browsing the comments, it appears to be linked to Shaw Academy - could very well be! My previous encounters with them haven’t been great either. Their sales representatives leave much to be desired - it seems they’re more focused on meeting their call quotas than actually engaging in conversation before abruptly ending the call.

I received a call not long ago from a number based in Brussels. I chose not to pick up, but after glancing through the comments, it appears to be somewhat dodgy. Definitely sounds like a scam!

I received a call from this number, and I’m based in Guyana, South America.

I'm based in Sweden and recently this number along with several other UK ones have been ringing me up. I don't get calls from England normally, so I reckon it might be dodgy. My phone shows these calls come from various locations like Doncaster, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Grimsby, which just makes me more wary about what's going on.

Sounds dodgy to me - someone pretending to be from HMRC said they're taking legal steps against me. Definitely feels like a scam.

I received a call from this number but chose to decline it. They subsequently left a voicemail that was nothing but indistinct chatting in the background. I’d suggest just blocking them!

Most likely Shaw Academy, as I'm based in Croatia. Their promotional tactics are absolutely relentless-it's quite astonishing!
