Been getting calls from this number loads recently and I’m based in Ireland. After having a look at the comments, it might be linked to Shaw Academy. I had a trial with Shaw Academy last year but ended it since it seemed like a scam. Even after cancelling, they still charged me a few times. Definitely going to block this number, they're proper shady.

Got a call from this number today, even though I’m over here in Ireland. I didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise it. Looking at the comments now, apparently it’s Shaw Academy? I think I signed up with them ages ago but ended up cancelling my account quite a while back.

They've rung me twice already, once around 2 in the afternoon and then again tonight at 10! Bit annoying if you ask me.

This feels like a proper scam to me, and here's why: First off, the trial info is super confusing - it looks like some parts are meant to be free trials, but actually come with payment options hidden in there. So it’s NOT a fully free trial that you can just cancel without charges. Then, good luck finding a phone number or proper contact details. They only want you to fill out a form with all your personal stuff so they can reach you, but you won't find a number to ring them back. They request your credit card details right away. Why? Because they’ll start charging you straight off, even though the trial isn’t clearly explained. Basically, you end up paying without realising it at first. I got caught up in this and stopped payments as soon as I noticed. Turns out, the trial features they offer require payment, but you only find this out after the charges appear on your card. Digging a bit deeper, I found this info hidden in tiny print somewhere - the notorious “small print” that nobody reads. Another red flag is their locations and addresses. They barely provide proper contact info, just vague addresses, which feels incredibly dodgy - almost like they’re trying to be as untraceable as possible while still taking your money. In my opinion, I wouldn’t recommend Shaw Academy at all because of all this. I’ve had emails coming from them, trying to sort things out, but they act clueless and keep giving the usual runaround. By the way, their name is Shaw Academy, but people sometimes confuse it with Shaws Academy or Shaw’s Academy. Just so you know. When I cancelled the payment (I took a screenshot to prove it), I felt like a right mug for not spotting the trap sooner. Hopefully this warning helps others. The site who-calls.me.uk has been a lifesaver for me multiple times over the last year - not a huge number of calls, but enough to see how Shaw just wants a few victims, take their money, and act like nothing’s wrong. Stay alert!

I’m based in the Netherlands and got a call from this number yesterday, but as soon as I answered, they just dropped the line. After reading other comments, I’m pretty sure it’s from Shaw Academy. Honestly, I didn’t have a great run-in with them before. Their sales people seem awful, probably just making calls to tick off their daily quota without actually chatting with anyone.
