8 yearsI got two calls from 01789294249 today, about ten minutes apart. The first one was an automated message with an Indian accent, pretending to be from TalkTalk. The second call was just dead silence. I actually am a TalkTalk customer, but these dodgy lot are clearly trying to phish and catch someone out. It seems like these scam calls come in bursts - you block one number, then they ring from another. Usually, they give up after a while, only to start again with a new batch of numbers a few weeks later.TalkTalk8 yearsI keep getting these prerecorded calls from someone saying they’re with TalkTalk, offering loads of choices to press. They just won’t stop! As soon as I block one number, they ring again from a new one that’s only changed by a digit or two. Seriously, when will the authorities do something to stop this nonsense? It’s really annoying!TalkTalk8 yearsSo this number, 01789 294249, called me a couple of times when I wasn’t home. Then when I finally answered on the third ring, there was this recorded message saying my TalkTalk internet would get cut off. It seems sketchy but how did they even know I have TalkTalk as my provider? Is this some kind of scam or what?TalkTalk8 yearsGot called twice within ten minutes by a robot voice threatening to disconnect my internet. Called my provider straight away and was told it’s a scam. These scammers managed to steal 700 quid from my elderly mum before we realised. Please don’t answer these calls!8 yearsGot a call from some low-life pretending to be TalkTalk. The minute I said, "Oh nice, I’m actually with Sky," they just hung up. What a bunch of #$%^ scammers!TalkTalkSky8 yearsAt about 12:15 pm on the 21st of August 2018, I got a call from an unfamiliar number. I let my answerphone pick it up, thinking it might say who they were or let them leave a message. Instead, there was nothing but silence before the call just ended. That’s the first time I’ve had a call from what seems like a fake ID.8 yearsI got a robo call saying something like ‘this is talk talk, your internet will be cut off in 2 days. To talk to an advisor press 1 or to cancel your service press 2’. I hit 2 and it told me I’d be put through to answer some questions. Then it connected me to someone but the call dropped before they said anything. Definitely looks like a scam to me!TalkTalkSubmit Your Own Report (01789 294249)
