This has been happening to us too, they keep ringing saying my partner owes EE money. She don’t owe anything and EE themselves have no clue about it. This dodgy company never sends any letters or proper proof for their claims. I’ve just blocked their number now. Best thing is to not even get pulled into talking with them.

i’m never a fan of these firms, but got a letter from them so i rang to see what was going on. turns out it was from ee saying i owed money, but something felt off. i quickly spotted it was a scam. luckily i phoned them back and now it’s been passed to fraud team and action fraud. glad i checked.

Just got a call from zincll claiming i owe £53 to ee, a company i left ages ago! They had an old address i havent lived at for over 3 years! They kept threatening to keep calling if i dont pay. i told them ill sort it with ee myself. Checked my account and it’s definitely closed! Really glad i stood my ground and didnt let them push me around!

I've been receiving persistent calls from this number, and they're incredibly unwilling to provide any specifics unless I divulge my name and address, which I refuse to do. During one of our chats, they asserted that it's regarding a debt linked to a Sky business contract associated with a company that went belly up this year-mind you, I haven't been employed there in over five years! They insist that I signed a personal guarantee, but the only details they have are my name and a phone number I provided to set up equipment installation. This whole situation seems off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to tackle this?

I've gone ahead and blocked this number - it's honestly the wisest course of action, everyone. It's evidently from the Zinc group, and they won't disclose a single detail about their call unless you're willing to hand over your personal info. Honestly, who'd be daft enough to do that? That sort of sensitive info could be misused in countless ways. Just block 'em and carry on with your day!

Beware of these callers who ring you up demanding your complete name, date of birth, and your address. It’s essentially all the information they need to impersonate you! They’ll claim to offer business services and insist that your number has been handed over to them, yet refuse to disclose who supposedly passed it along. They refer to themselves as the Zinc group, which amusingly shares its name with a roofing material. It's almost laughable how another lot of similar dimwits goes by the name of Link Group; the resemblance is uncanny, isn’t it? It's nothing more than a scam, plain and simple. Just hang up the phone and save yourself the hassle!

I received a call from this number today, completely clueless about who was on the other end. The caller demanded I verify my name and personal details, but I flat-out refused - I never disclose such information over the phone. This seemed to irritate her quite a bit, and she insisted that it was CRUCIAL for me to speak with them. When I probed into why it was so urgent and who it involved, I pointed out that she had no idea who she was speaking to and that it might not even relate to me at all. Her frustration only escalated, so I decided to end the conversation and block the number. If I receive another call from them, I'll be reporting it as harassment.

I’ve always adhered to the saying, "out of debt, out of danger." I've now escalated this matter to Ofcom. Apologies for any typos; I seem to have misplaced my reading glasses!

I recently received an email that purports to be from Vodafone, and it’s rather alarming! It states that my business line will be terminated within a week unless I complete a form to transfer my account to them. To make matters worse, they’re asking for sensitive documents like my passport or driving licence, along with a bank statement. Naturally, I contacted Vodafone directly to verify this, and they were completely unaware of such a company or any issues linked to my account. What a relief! It’s clearly a scam, and I advise everyone to be cautious.
