This has been happening to us too, they keep ringing saying my partner owes EE money. She don’t owe anything and EE themselves have no clue about it. This dodgy company never sends any letters or proper proof for their claims. I’ve just blocked their number now. Best thing is to not even get pulled into talking with them.

i’m never a fan of these firms, but got a letter from them so i rang to see what was going on. turns out it was from ee saying i owed money, but something felt off. i quickly spotted it was a scam. luckily i phoned them back and now it’s been passed to fraud team and action fraud. glad i checked.

Just got a call from zincll claiming i owe £53 to ee, a company i left ages ago! They had an old address i havent lived at for over 3 years! They kept threatening to keep calling if i dont pay. i told them ill sort it with ee myself. Checked my account and it’s definitely closed! Really glad i stood my ground and didnt let them push me around!

This number keeps ringing me up all the time. They refuse to talk unless I share my name and where I live, which I'm not about to do. In one call, they said it was about some debt tied to a Sky business contract from a firm that's gone bust this year - and I haven't been involved with that company for over five years. They also said I signed a personal guarantee, even though they only have my name and phone number which I gave just for setting up the equipment. Does anyone know where I should turn for help with this?

Honestly, I just blocked this number straight away, and I’d say that’s the smartest move. It’s some Zinc group or something, and they won’t tell you why they’re calling unless you hand over all your personal info. If you actually do that, well, you’re asking for trouble! They could end up using your details however they like. So yeah, just block them and carry on with whatever you were doing!

They ring you and demand your full name, DOB, and home address - all the info someone would need to nick your identity. They'll claim they're offering business services and that your number was given to them, but won't say who actually handed it over. The caller says they're from Zinc Group - funny name, like the roofing stuff. There's also another crew called Link Group, sounds almost identical, right? It's a scam, no two ways about it. Just ignore and end the call.

Loads of calls from this firm claiming to be Zinc, always leaving voicemail with some quote number. I rang back twice but both times they asked me to confirm my address before explaining anything more. I didn’t want to give out any details to strangers just because they keep ringing me first. After that, I looked them up online and stumbled across this discussion. I’ve always been trustworthy with my bills, no debts hanging around, so I’m suspicious if this lot are debt collectors or something. I blocked their calls and then got a text from +44 7860 026741 with yet another quote number asking me to call them back. Obviously, I blocked that too. I’m not giving out personal info until they clearly explain what it’s all about. Reading other people’s experiences has made me extra careful with this whole thing.

I’ve no idea why they keep ringing me as I don’t owe anything at all.

Got a call from these lot today, no clue who they were. They wanted me to verify my name and personal info, but I told them no way, I don’t share that stuff on the phone. The lady then started getting a bit rude, saying I HAD to sort things out with them because it was SERIOUSLY IMPORTANT. I asked what it involved and why it mattered so much, plus reminded her she had no idea who she was speaking to and it might not even be my business. She got even more annoyed after that, so I just ended the call and blocked their number. If they ring again, I’m definitely reporting them for pestering me.

This number has been ringing me a couple of times every day for weeks now. I normally don’t pick up my landline, even though I’m ex-directory and registered with TPS, but it keeps ringing. I finally answered today, then put the phone down and looked up the number online, which brought me here. I’ve never owed any money, apart from a mortgage over twenty years ago that was cleared when my dad passed and left me his estate. These days I always say "debt free, stress free." I’ve now reported these calls to Ofcom. Sorry for any typos, I’m without my reading specs. Cheers.

I’ve had this number ring me about 10 times now, each call asking for a totally different person. It’s some debt collection agency or something. Honestly, don’t bother picking up if you see this number on your phone.

Got a call from Zinc Group the other day, but the signal was rubbish and I could barely hear them properly. They mentioned something about credit and debt stuff, but I've never had any issues like that, so I seriously doubt it was meant for me. Just block them and don’t bother answering next time!

I got an email pretending to be from Vodafone, saying they’d cut off my business phone in a week if I didn’t complete some form to switch my account over. They wanted copies of my passport or driving licence plus a bank statement. I rang Vodafone and they said they’ve never heard of this company and my account was perfectly fine!
