Loads of calls coming through from 0178 numbers recently, all saying there's an internet outage and claiming to be from BT. When I checked them against the BT directory, the locations were all over the place - places like Rugby, Stoke-on-Trent, and Pstowe. Feels like they’re just nicking random phone numbers to give the impression they're legit. I've had about two or three rings daily, and I just ignore them as they never bother to leave a voicemail. Sometimes the calls come from numbers starting with digits other than 8 as well.
