They claim to be BT, but they’re definitely not!!! I’ve blocked loads of their numbers on my phone. Give BT a call and ask them to block the scammers for you - they do it for free. I tried it and it actually helped.

really frustrating scam - best to just ignore it altogether

Shirley rang up again saying my internet was at risk and told me to hit 1 to speak with my internet company’s tech support. Before, other calls claimed it was BT and instructed me to press 1 for help or 2 to end the call. They’ve come from various numbers like 02810984210 but the message’s always the same - my internet would be disconnected within a day. The first one was on 23rd June and the most recent just happened on 18th July. Every time I just hang up.

Got a call from a robotic American woman saying my internet was hacked and would be shut down soon. She told me to press 1 to talk to a tech, but as soon as I didn’t respond, the line went dead. Just another annoying scam trying to trick people.
