Loads of scammers pretending to be from BT, trying to get your bank info. I’ve reported them and blocked the number using call protect. I’m sure they’ll ring back, but I just keep blocking and never answer. Leaving the phone on voicemail all the time seems to do the trick - they usually give up after a bit.

kept getting these automated calls saying they were from bt saying my broadband was at risk and about to be disconnected, then told to ‘press 1’. this has been happening loads over the past few days, first from a ‘withheld’ number and then from a couple of local Coventry and Rugby numbers. everytime i just ended the call. i’m going to let bt know about it - but why isn’t anyone cracking down on these scammers? it’s proper annoying.

Don't pick up, it's a scam call. Best to just block and ignore it.

Honestly, this number needs to be tracked down and slapped with a fine, it’s just not on.

I keep getting calls from different numbers, all with the same American voice telling me there's an issue with my BT internet and that I need to press 1 to speak to a technician. It's really frustrating because it's happening at least ten times over the past couple of weeks.

I got a recorded voice telling me to press 1 if I wanted to fix some made-up BT internet issue, or press 2 to cut off my internet. Can't figure out how they’re using or copying a Rugby phone number for this scam.

I got a call with a recorded message saying it was from BT and that they’d cut off my internet if I didn’t sort things out soon. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Lately, I've been getting loads of scam calls, some from people and some those automated ones. They all pretend to be from BT tech support, warning that our internet's about to get disconnected. One time, there was a woman with an Indian accent, which felt pretty dodgy, and shockingly she even knew our actual address. Proper fishy if you ask me.

Got a call saying my internet would be disconnected within a day. They told me to press 4 to chat with an advisor, but I just hung up straight away cos I figured it was a scam.

Had this awful call from a creepy recorded woman’s voice, just like I’ve heard from other numbers before. She was trying to scare me by saying they’d disconnect my internet. Honestly, something should be done about these calls by the law, and it needs to happen fast.

Got a robo call warning me my BT internet line would be cut off after today. They said press 1 to keep it or 2 to lose it. Seriously, there ought to be tougher rules to stop this kinda annoying stuff bothering people.

In just the past few days, this number has rung me five times, all pretty much the same type of call. I’ve just been ignoring them each time. Honestly, whoever’s doing this really needs to be put to an end.

Someone rang up claiming to be from my internet provider and warned me they'd disconnect my service. It felt really dodgy. Honestly, they should be slapped with big fines under GDPR - that might put a stop to these awful calls.

Got a robotic call too, with a voice claiming to be from BT, warning my internet would get cut off. Total scam!

Got a call from someone with an American accent saying they were from BT and that there were issues with my internet. Thing is, I don’t even use BT for my internet. I just told them no and ended the call before blocking the number.

Got a recorded call supposedly from BT, so I pressed 1 and then spoke to a guy with a strong Indian accent who said he was a BT engineer based in London. He told me my internet was being hacked and even mentioned my internet ID to "show" he was legit. When I asked for a BT contact number to verify, he wouldn't give one, and warned that if I hung up he'd cut off my connection. It felt really dodgy and quite intimidating, so I just ended the call.
