I received a dodgy call claiming to be conducting a survey on life insurance, only to be asked for my bank information afterwards. Quite the cheek, really!

I just saw this number but didn’t pick up cos it looked strange. I’ve just googled it and it seems dodgy, so I’m gonna block it now.

So, when I told them to take my details out of their database, they turned quite nasty. They started asking if I was a mechanic and what I'd do if the car had problems. I said yeah, I am a mechanic and I’d sort it out myself. Then, they got all patronising, asking what kind of mechanic I was and even accused me of making it up.

Got a call from a private number saying they were gonna serve me some papers unless I rang them back to sort things out. They didn’t give me any other information at all.

They kept calling me, pushing for me to book a medical check-up. I told them I wasn't interested since I'd already had one just a few weeks earlier.

Got a call around 2pm today, some bloke with an asian accent claimed he was from bt. He started giving me directions but i quickly figured it was a scam since i dont have bt service.

I must say, I'm rather baffled by these sorts of calls. I tend to ignore them altogether, but it feels like there's been an alarming rise in numbers like these. Something really ought to be done to put a stop to it!

What a nuisance! I had some bloke attempting to peddle life insurance on the line. Thankfully, he cut the conversation short before I could put him in his place. Honestly, don't bother picking up your phone; it's hardly worth the hassle!

Sounds like a total scam to me - they said they were from HMRC and that I was about to face legal proceedings.
