Received a phone call today claiming I was implicated in an accident that wasn’t my doing. I informed the lady on the line that I had no knowledge of any such incident, and then, oddly enough, the call just went dead.

Had a really thick Indian/Pakistani accent, introduced himself as Peter (sure thing). Rang me up claiming he was from House and Home. Said he needed me to answer a few questions, but first tried to confirm my address which he got completely wrong. I just told him (You’re the weakest link, goodbye) and hung up. I usually don’t bother if the number is unfamiliar, reckon if it’s serious or real, they’ll leave a message anyway. This is the second strange number I’ve had today!

Somebody called me saying I’d been in an accident, but claimed it wasn’t my fault. When I asked her to clarify which accident she meant, she just said "you tell me". I told her to tell me the details first so I could confirm if it really involved me, since she obviously had that info to ring me up. Predictably, she ended the call right after that...

Got a missed call from 01788 435563, somewhere in Rugby I think. Tried ringing back but no answer.

Got a robo call on my phone where an automated voice left a message saying something about me being in a car crash or something like that. Obviously, I blocked the number straight away but I reckon these dodgy calls will keep coming anyway.
