The caller, who had a thick accent, claimed to be from Windows, saying there was an issue with our computer. To my surprise, they asked for my husband by a name that wasn't even his! When I voiced my concerns, they abruptly ended the call. I'm absolutely fed up with these nuisances. Isn't there a way to tackle these pesky calls?12 yearsI received a rather dubious call from this number, purporting to be from "Windows". They insisted they needed details about my computer as it had apparently been bombarding them with error reports. The woman on the other end had a heavy accent that made it quite challenging to follow her, and the connection was atrocious-lots of noise and cutting out. I decided to end the call, thinking better of it, and when I tried ringing the number back, it just rang out with no answer.
