I've gotten a couple of calls from this Rugby number lately. When I answered a call earlier today, some bloke yelled, "Dan, did you grab that Chewit from before?" Seriously, whoever this is, they've got no clue how to do a proper cold call.

Got a call earlier from a woman claiming that someone in my home had been in a car crash. Totally untrue, I've had no accidents. Definitely a scam!

Got a missed call, rang back only to get some recorded message thanking me for calling about accident claims, so I just ended the call. Who even calls about accident claims like that?

Today, this number rang me, so I called back to figure out who it might be. However, they didn’t pick up when I tried calling them again!

Absolutely fed up with those weird calls where they say nothing or just a click, it’s just them checking if someone’s actually there. Once you pick up, they mark you as active and then suddenly you’re bombarded with calls trying to sell you heating systems, replacement windows or some dodgy PPI rubbish. If the number’s unfamiliar, best to just let it ring out and not bother picking up.
