Got an automated call today from a lady with a faint American accent saying she was from my internet company. She warned my service would be cut off in 24 hours because of supposed "illegal activity" detected on my account. She told me to press 1 to speak to an advisor, but I didn’t bother. We've been getting calls from this same number on both our home and internet phone for the past week. So that 24-hour deadline just seems like a scare tactic to make you act fast. I'm pretty sure if you do call back, it could lead to some costly or dodgy situation. Definitely dodgy stuff.
