I’m constantly bombarded with calls. I usually ignore any unknown numbers on my personal phone. I have a separate phone for work but gave my number to Oxford Council for official contact. Within a few months, I started getting calls from all kinds of random people. Questions like if I’d been in an accident or if I wanted to claim PPI kept coming through. Now I just block them all and hope for the best...

They called sayin I had PPI, but I was like only 10 years old then, so that cant be right.

My mum, who’s 80, got a call from someone claiming to be British Telecom about a refund she’s supposed to get from them. They then went on to ask if she had any bank loans or a mortgage she hadn’t paid off. When she said no, they just hung up. I’m left wondering, did they get her number directly from BT or somewhere else?

Got a call from this number earlier. The woman on the line was really unpleasant. She said it was about PPI, but when I told her I never had anything that would qualify for PPI, she started getting really aggressive and was practically shouting.
