Doesn't it seem like the telecom companies just ignore those annoying spammers? You’d think by now they'd have some proper measures in place to stop all those unwanted calls. It’s really frustrating that nothing serious is being done to tackle the problem.

On the 10th of November 2025 around 2:36 pm, I got a call from an unknown number that seemed to be from Essex or Suffolk. They didn’t leave any voicemail. It's clear these scammers and spammers don’t bother looking at the TPS list and they never bother to leave a message.

They kept calling me using my old married name, which I haven't gone by for more than a decade. I asked what the call was about, but they wouldn't say. I told them that she passed away, and they said they talked to her only last week.

Whenever I get a call from an unknown number, I usually hang on to see if they leave a voicemail. If there’s nothing there, I figure it’s not anyone who’s really trying to reach me. So, I just ignore it and block the number.

They’ve called me like 30 times now, getting pushier every time. I tried blocking the numbers but they just switch them up and keep ringing. I even told BT but they haven’t sorted anything out! It’s so frustrating.
