Got a call claiming to be from Amazon just yesterday. I don’t even have Amazon Prime, so I just hung up straight away. Definitely sounded dodgy.

I got a call from 01787475019 about 1.57 this afternoon on Wednesday 19th Feb but it hung up after 6 rings. I reckon they do that so they don’t get charged. Sometimes I just let it go on for 16 rings till the answerphone picks up, or else I set my phone to only ring twice so the caller has to pay. What’s your take on this?

My elderly parents, who are 86, got a call from 01787475019 pretending to be Amazon, saying they supposedly owed £90. Luckily I was nearby and was able to tell them straight away it was nothing but a scam. It’s awful people try this, seriously this must be put to an end.

About 40 mins ago I got a call and an automated voice left a message saying it was from Amazon. They said they were going to take £39.99 from my account for something they called amazon prime time. The message told me to press 3 if I wanted to cancel, to talk to someone. I just didn’t respond to it.

I just got to my phone right as the call ended, the answerphone had picked it up! I rang the number back but no one was there. I looked it up on this site and found out it's a pest caller. If they ring me again, I’ll probably just ignore it.
