Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, using an account number they gave me, which I didn’t really verify. They kept trying to get me to log into something, but I just told them to call the police if there was a problem. Normally I just put the phone down and walk off, leaving it ringing.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, saying there was some issue with my IP address and that hackers had been trying to get into my PC. They asked me to log in so they could fix it for me. I just hung up straight away. I guess it’s a bit different from the usual lot pretending to be from Windows Support. They always have a foreign accent though. The number was 01787 242163.

For days now, I’ve been getting phone calls every few minutes, which is really annoying. After ringing TalkTalk, I found out there’s a scam going around that they’re quite worried about. If you’re ever unsure, it’s best to contact TalkTalk yourself just to be safe. Also, if you receive any emails claiming to be from TalkTalk that seem a bit off or you weren’t expecting, don’t click on any links in them. Always report those suspicious emails to TalkTalk. I make sure to save real emails from companies, so I can check if something looks fishy by comparing. I can’t help but think the calls and these dodgy emails might be linked.

They've been ringing non stop for days now, like every few minutes. I got in touch with TalkTalk and found out there’s a scam going round that they’re really worried about. If you’re concerned, I’d recommend going straight to TalkTalk for advice. Also, if you get an email that’s supposed to be from TalkTalk but looks a bit dodgy or out of the blue, don’t click any links in it and make sure you report it to them. I keep copies of all legit emails from companies just so I can check if something looks off. Honestly, I think the weird emails and these nonstop calls are linked somehow.

Got multiple calls from people claiming they're Talktalk, but they're always pushing stuff we don't want. Told them we're not interested, but they keep ringing. It's a bit annoying really.

Got a call from someone saying they were from TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my IP address and I needed to access my computer for them to fix it. I work in IT so I could tell it was dodgy, started asking plenty of tricky questions to catch them out. The bloke quickly got quite pushy, so I hung up. Still, they keep ringing me up, sometimes a couple of times every day.

Got a phone call from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk, but it was total scam. They said hackers were using my computer to make dodgy calls, then tried to trick me into downloading some software so they could control my PC. When I switched things up and asked why my internet wasn’t upgraded to fibre yet, they just went mad and ended the call, calling me a nutter. Proper dodgy behaviour.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk, but it was definitely a scam. They told me my computer was hacked and requested I download some software so they could "fix" it, but I knew they just wanted to control my PC. When I brought up why my internet still isn't fibre, the caller rudely said I was nuts and hung up on me. The number they used was 01787242163. Be careful with calls like this!

They claimed to be from Talk Talk and started asking questions like trying to fish out personal info. I just kept replying with yes or no, nothing more, and eventually they just ended the call.

About 15 minutes back I got a call from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk. They kept asking stuff about my job and my kids. This must be the eighth time they've tried to get me to turn on my computer and respond to these pointless questions.

I got a call from this number claiming it was TalkTalk, but the line was so crackly I struggled to make out what they were saying - not exactly inspiring confidence in a phone company, right? I told the caller that I’d recently been told by TalkTalk themselves that they never ask customers to log into anything to fix tech issues. Still, he kept pushing his script, persistent as anything. Eventually, he gave up - probably figured wasting time on me wasn’t worth it and moved on to someone more gullible. This number kept ringing me all day, so I just ignored the calls. Honestly, it’s better not to answer at all, and whatever you do, don’t follow any weird instructions they give you. What really creeps me out is how they even know I’m with TalkTalk and have loads of my private info, including my account number. How on earth do scammers get hold of that kind of stuff? - Fake TalkTalk caller alert!

This number has been ringing me non-stop, always saying they’re from TalkTalk and asking me to get on my computer with them. I felt something wasn’t right, so I just ended the call. They’ve called back like 4 times within a few minutes! I checked TalkTalk’s site and they say it’s a scam where callers try to get into your account. Can someone confirm if these calls are legit or not? Cheers. Caller said: "TalkTalk?"

Today, we received a call from the same number, claiming to be associated with BT and urging us to head over to our computer. However, when we checked with BT, they had no record of any such communication with them. Clearly, it's a scam!

Whoever these individuals may be, every time we pick up the phone, there’s nothing but silence on the other end. This occurrence takes place repeatedly throughout the day.
