I received a call from someone masquerading as a representative from BT, a service provider we utilise. They mentioned an account number, which I later realised we hadn’t verified at all. Attempting to coax me into logging into my account, I recommended they take their issues to the police instead. Typically, I prefer to leave the call active and simply walk away from it.

I received a rather dubious call from someone purporting to be from BT, insisting that there was an issue with my IP address and that my computer was under threat of being hacked. They urged me to hop onto my computer so they could assist in resolving the matter. Naturally, I cut the call short. At least it’s a shift away from the usual scam of claiming to represent the Windows Support team. It’s a funny coincidence that they always seem to have such thick foreign accents! I've been bombarded with calls from this number every few minutes for what feels like an eternity. After reaching out to TalkTalk, I discovered there's a scam going around that they're quite concerned about. If you find yourself in a similar predicament, my advice would be to contact TalkTalk yourself for peace of mind. On another note, if you receive an email that seems to come from TalkTalk but looks a bit off or catches you by surprise, steer clear of any links! Instead, make sure to flag it to TalkTalk right away. I tend to hang onto examples of legitimate correspondence from businesses, just in case something out of the ordinary pops up - it helps me identify potential fakes. I can't shake the feeling that these suspicious calls and emails could very well be intertwined.

They've been ringing non stop for days now, like every few minutes. I got in touch with TalkTalk and found out there’s a scam going round that they’re really worried about. If you’re concerned, I’d recommend going straight to TalkTalk for advice. Also, if you get an email that’s supposed to be from TalkTalk but looks a bit dodgy or out of the blue, don’t click any links in it and make sure you report it to them. I keep copies of all legit emails from companies just so I can check if something looks off. Honestly, I think the weird emails and these nonstop calls are linked somehow.

I’ve been inundated with calls from this number every few minutes, day in and day out, for what feels like an eternity. After reaching out to TalkTalk, I discovered that there’s a scam afoot that has them quite concerned. If you’re feeling edgy about these calls, I’d recommend getting in touch with TalkTalk directly. On a related note, if you, like me, receive an email that seems to be from TalkTalk but strikes you as peculiar or unexpected, steer clear of clicking any links. Make sure you report it to TalkTalk right away. Personally, I keep examples of legitimate emails from companies, so I have a reference point in case something looks dodgy. I can’t shake off the feeling that these unsolicited emails and nuisance calls are somehow linked. - Caller: Unknown

I've been receiving a myriad of calls, all of which have left me feeling rather disheartened, as I'm not remotely interested in their offerings. They consistently claim to be representatives of TalkTalk.

Got a call from someone saying they were from TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my IP address and I needed to access my computer for them to fix it. I work in IT so I could tell it was dodgy, started asking plenty of tricky questions to catch them out. The bloke quickly got quite pushy, so I hung up. Still, they keep ringing me up, sometimes a couple of times every day.

I recently received a rather dubious phone call from someone purporting to be from TalkTalk. This individual was relentless in attempting to guide me through a series of steps, evidently aimed at seizing control of my computer. Their ruse involved claims that my device had been compromised by hackers making illicit calls. They even urged me to download certain software, presumably to grant them remote access. When I sidestepped their probing by inquiring about the delay in my fibre broadband upgrade, they promptly dismissed me as a ‘mad customer’ before hanging up. Quite the experience, I must say!

I received a rather dodgy phone call today from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk. They attempted to convince me that my computer was under siege from hackers making nefarious calls. The goal, it seemed, was to have me follow their dubious instructions and download some software to supposedly rectify the situation, ultimately handing them access to my device. When I diverted the conversation to inquire about my fibre upgrade that hadn't yet happened, the caller snapped at me, called me a mad customer, and promptly hung up. The number was 01787242163, in case anyone else gets this nonsense.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from Talktalk, insisting that there was an issue with my IP address. They wanted me to hop onto my computer so they could 'fix' it. Having a bit of IT knowledge myself, I started posing some rather pointed questions, which seemed to ruffle their feathers. The tone became quite confrontational, so I hung up. Strangely enough, they’ve continued to ring me almost twice daily since then. - number: 01787 242163

I received a call roughly fifteen minutes back, claiming to be from TalkTalk. They were probing me about my children and my profession. This makes it about the eighth time they've tried to persuade me to switch on my computer and respond to their pointless inquiries. It’s becoming quite tiresome!

I received a phone call from this number claiming to represent TalkTalk. The quality of the line was so poor that I struggled to make out what the caller was saying - hardly a stellar example for a telephone service provider! I reminded him that I had been informed by TalkTalk just a few days prior that they would NEVER ask customers to log into anything to sort out technical issues. Despite my clear warnings, he was unyielding and continued with his scripted spiel. I eventually let him drone on until he grew weary, likely realising that spending too much time on one individual might not be worth it when he could be conning someone else who's easier to manipulate. The same number bombarded me with calls throughout the day. It’s best to ignore them altogether, but whatever you do, don’t fall for their tricks or comply with their requests. What really troubles me is how they even know I’m a TalkTalk customer and how they possess so much personal information, including my account number. - Caller: Misrepresents themselves as TalkTalk.

I keep receiving calls from this number with someone insisting they’re from TalkTalk. They requested that I get onto my computer, which raised a red flag for me, so I ended the conversation. However, they've rung me four times in quick succession since then! I checked with TalkTalk, and they’ve alerted me to the existence of scammers attempting to gain account access. Could you please verify whether this number is legitimate? Cheers - caller: TalkTalk?

Today, we received a call from the same number, claiming to be associated with BT and urging us to head over to our computer. However, when we checked with BT, they had no record of any such communication with them. Clearly, it's a scam!

Whoever these individuals may be, every time we pick up the phone, there’s nothing but silence on the other end. This occurrence takes place repeatedly throughout the day.
