It took ages before they finally said anything - pretty clear it was a scam.

this number just rang me up and there was a woman who sounded asian, asking about some kind of computer service plan. I told her I wasn't interested in continuing with it. then she claimed to pass me on to her supervisor, another asian guy, who wanted me to press the windows key on my computer. I pretended not to understand and dragged the convo on for about 10 minutes. eventually he got really frustrated, started swearing at me and then threatened that he'd cleared out my bank account - which, of course, he hadn’t done a thing.

Totally a scam. I asked the person on the call for some details, but they couldn’t give me any straight answers. When I then asked if it was a scam, they just cut me off and ended the call.

Just got a pretty dodgy call from 01787 222051 saying there was an issue with something called "the microsoft windows". The bloke sounded really unprofessional and tried to convince me he was legit by asking me to visit a site and punch in a "product code". I wasn’t having any of it, but it worries me that people who don’t know much about tech could easily fall for this, especially since the website seemed pretty suspicious.

Got a call from some fake computer system, total scam. They keep switching up the number with each call, using each one just a handful of times before switching again. I’m left wondering, are these real numbers they just pretend to be, or do they somehow get these from companies that actually give numbers like this out? Doesn’t matter really, these dodgy calls need to be blocked for good.
