Got a call yesterday from a bloke with a foreign accent who somehow knew my name! He was trying to sell me life insurance. I’m only 24, fit and healthy, no kids or anything, so I have no clue why I’d even want life insurance.

I cancelled my subscription to Times and Sunday Times ages ago, but they just keep calling me over and over. It’s getting really annoying.

Really legit call about my Times subscription - turns out it had run out.

Most likely the Sunday Times, like someone mentioned, cause I just ended my subscription. Got two missed calls from them.

It was just one big fib after another. Promises about bacon sandwiches never came true. The tea was lukewarm and there weren’t enough jaffa cakes to go around.

This number keep calling my mobile and hang up before I can pick up, not that I'd ever answer it anyway! Still, it's getting really annoying and a proper pain.

I got a call this morning from a woman asking if I was interested in entering a contest to win £200. It seemed a bit dodgy, so I just told her no thanks.

I haven’t been picking up when this number rings coz I have no clue who it might be, likely just another telemarketer. These folks are just so annoying!

Got a missed call from this number and I usually ignore calls from strange numbers, but every now and then I answer just so I’m sure it’s nothing urgent. Loads of folks don’t have caller ID or still pick up every time just in case it's something important. It’s really awful that people stoop to this, trying to steal personal info and possibly even cash. I can’t understand how they live with themselves doing that.

Got a call outta nowhere, total bother.

I picked up the phone but there was no one speaking. So I dialled 1471 and was shown the number ‭01787 201988‬. I looked it up here to find out who it belonged to. I’m not going to ring back cause I’ve never signed up for any magazines or newspapers. Actually, that’s not true, I used to get 2000AD every week - that was brilliant. Take care and keep your wits about you. Sending good vibes to everyone.

I didnt pick up but like others said, if this number is really from The Times, it would make sense since I had a subscription not long ago and they might be checking if I’m interested in signing up again.

this number rang me twice, it turned out to be about my sunday times subscription. i missed the first call, so i searched the number and then answered the second call carefully. the guy said there was a problem with my payment (my card had expired, but i had sorted it a few days earlier after their email), then he checked my account and saw it was fixed, apologised for the inconvenience. i didnt give any personal details, so this seemed like a legit call from someone with access to my subscription info.

Watch out for this number. It seems to be a scam related to subscriptions. A legit company would normally get in touch by letter.

Got a call from a bloke named Joe Pitcher, saying I had a Times subscription and owed money. I told him I didn’t, and asked if it was some kind of scam. He insisted it wasn’t and kept saying I had to pay up. I explained again I never had any Times subscription, and asked him to stop calling. He said he’d keep ringing until I paid. The guy sounded pretty convincing, but I’m certain I’ve never had that subscription. Now he’s started sending emails as well. My advice? Don’t bother picking up and just block the number straight away.

Got a call saying i still owed them money even tho i cancelled ages ago. They said i had to ring them up directly to cancel. Then the guy said he could sort it. Asked for my address and postcode and i just felt really dodgy about it. Told him no i reckon this is a scam and he said he had to end the call, so i just said probably right and hung up. Voice was nice, almost fooled me. Watch out folks.
