i got a call from a woman who claimed she "knew i'd been in an accident lately." she never said what company she was with and just paused for like half a minute before talking. when i asked how she got my phone number, especially since i'm on the telephone preference service, she just said "forget it" and ended the call straight away! best to ignore these calls and report them to bt and ofcom.
