I got a robo call saying my Visa had been charged £500 for something on Amazon. The voice sounded super urgent and told me to press 1 right away if I hadn’t authorised it, so I’d be put through to their fraud team. Funny enough, I was just watching a BBC show about scam calls and they were talking about this exact trick at the same time. The BBC’s tip was to just hang up straight away. I was going to do that anyway, but couldn’t help but laugh at how spot on the timing was. Respect to the BBC for that one. No doubt in my mind this was a total scam.

Around noon on 9/11/2023, I got a call claiming to be from Amazon, saying money had been taken from my bank account! I rang my bank to check and found out it was a scam. I've blocked the number now.
