Internet’s still functioning - definitely a scam!

A rather peculiar message...
Received a silent call at 12:35, then they hung up. I activated the answering machine, and the same number called back at 13:59. A robotic female voice, rather threatening, claimed it was BT (I’ve recorded it) and said there was an issue with my Internet that would result in a cut-off today! The instructions were to press 1 to speak to BT or press 2 to disconnect my Internet!? I turned the Internet back on, and it's all fine for now. Will see if it’s still working tomorrow!

On Thurs 14 Feb 2019, got a call from 01786 815 092 about my internet still being active. I think it was some kinda scam cos it was a silent call at 12:35 then they hung up. Later at 13:59 the same number called again, and this time it was a creepy robot woman threatening that BT would cut my internet off today. It told me to press 1 to speak to BT or 2 to disconnect. Luckily my internet was still working fine so I switched it on again just in case. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it actually gets cut off tomorrow or not.

Received a rather unsettling silent call at half past twelve, they hung up on me. Later on, at nearly two o'clock, my answerphone kicked in with that same number ringing again. This time, a rather intimidating robotic woman's voice blurted out that it was BT, claiming there was a serious issue with my internet and it would be disconnected today! I was told to press 1 if I wanted to speak to someone at BT, or press 2 if I wished to terminate my internet service. Quite odd, really. I flicked my internet back on, and it seems to be operating just fine for the moment. I suppose I shall have to see if it’s still running smoothly when I check tomorrow!

got a call from the same number at 12:35, all quiet then they just disconnected. then at 1:59, left an answerphone message with a scary robot lady saying it was BT saying my internet might get cut off today! she told me to press 1 to talk to BT or 2 to stop the internet. i already turned the internet back on and its still fine now. i'll see if they actually switch it off tomorrow or not. got a recording of the message just in case.
