Just got a call on our work phone, and luckily I wasn’t daft enough to fall for it. Told the guy straight up that I knew it was a scam before ending the call. There's no way Microsoft would ring like that! Watch out, folks!

this bloke rang saying he was calling from Microsoft and that someone was trying to hack my computer. i told him “yeah right, you’re not” and he just ended the call.

some bloke rang me claiming he was from microsoft and said my computer was bugged with a fault. since I know a fair bit about computers, I figured right away it was a con, so I just told him my computer was fine and hung up straight away.

Some bloke rang up sayin my computer was messed up. When i mentioned i’d report him to the coppers, he started shouting and got really nasty.

Had a really dodgy call from someone saying they were from Microsoft. They convinced me to open the event viewer thing on my computer and then said all the usual errors meant hackers were inside my machine. After that, they sent me a website link and said I should install some remote access app. If I’d done that, they’d have been able to tinker with my laptop however they liked. Proper scam, very risky.
