8 yearsGot a call again after just one day, this time some robotic voice claimin it was BT saying my account’s gonna get shut down soon.BT9 yearsI picked up and all I could hear was some sort of buzzing, but no one answered.9 yearsGot a call from someone with an Indian accent, asked about how long our boiler’s been in and if we had loft or cavity wall insulation. When my husband was asked if he claimed benefits, he fibbed and said we get the single farm payment, which isn’t exactly a benefit but something farmers get. Didn’t stop her probing though. Then she wanted some kind of memorable word, and I just lost patience with the whole thing. Weirdly, the same number called again five minutes later but no one picked up.9 yearsanother bloody day with the same rubbish. i reckon these guys must spend hours glued to their phone just to scrape together a few pence, unless they manage to scam some poor sod out of a lot more. i usually just throw a few swear words at them and they get all offended and drop it. it's pretty funny how they get all upset when they're the ones trying to nick your hard-earned money.9 yearsThere’s this guy with an Indian accent who calls me every single day, usually sometime between 8 in the morning and midday.9 yearsI inquired about the identity of the caller, and they claimed to be from an energy firm, but their accent was a bit thick, so I suspect it’s SWA. I requested that they take my number off their list, and they had the audacity to ask why! That really gets on my nerves; I reckon they should respect boundaries since they’re the ones intruding in the first place. I mentioned that the number isn’t associated with the person they were looking for, and she got rather confrontational, saying I was wasting her time. I couldn't help but chuckle and point out, “Well, you’re the one who rang me!” 😂SWA9 yearsi got a call from someone in India about boilers, when i asked how they got my number they just kept talking over me. i told her to take me off their list and she hung up. so fed up with these annoying calls!India9 yearsGot a call from someone with an Indian accent, and they kept ringing me again and again. I'm sure they’re just getting numbers from a list or something. When I dialled 141 to hide my number and asked them for their details, they just hung up and gave me a local phone number instead. I tried calling that number back, probably made me sound totally daft. Honestly, do these folks really believe everyone in Scotland is that gullible? They're clearly just going down a list of random numbers. So annoying!Scotland9 yearsThe lady had a strong Indian accent and said she was ringing about some government scheme to scrap boilers. I spotted the Stirling area code on my phone and asked where she was actually calling from. She said “Birmingham”! I think you can guess what’s going on there.StirlingBirmingham9 yearsYesterday, I got a call from this number, a bloke speaking with a thick Indian accent. He was telling me about some grant scheme for a boiler, if I caught that right. Once I asked how he found my number, he just hung up! The weird part is, he used my full name. Then today, a woman called, offering the same deal but asking about the previous owner of my property back in 2001! It’s strange how they get hold of our names and numbers like this. I’m ex-directory and registered with the telephone preference service, so how do they even have this info? Proper strange!9 yearsGot a voicemail with nothing on it, seems like one of those call centre bungles.Submit Your Own Report (01786 435829)
