I got a call from 017387258036 a few days ago. When I answered it earlier this week, the line just went silent after a few seconds. Today, I decided not to pick up at all.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent, sounded nothing like they were from Scotland. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was from the ‘Windows team’, telling me my PC was being hacked and used to send spam emails. He warned that if I didn’t sort it out, they’d shut down my computer. I played along for a bit, then told him to go ahead and deactivate it if that’s what they wanted - he just dropped the call straight away.

Got a call claiming to be from the Windows caller licensing team (which made no sense since Windows isn't a company). When I asked for more details, they abruptly ended the call. So annoying! Didn't have the nerve to try tracing the call charge either. What a disappointment!

He rang me and first wanted to check my name, then came out with "this is the computer licensing dept - howdy?" I just told him to bugger off. The caller ID showed the number but also tagged it as 'international', so pretty clear it's a dodgy number.
