They start by texting you, saying there's been a payment blocked on your account and tell you to call them. Then they bombard you with questions about the payment and eventually ask how much money you have in your account. That’s when my partner got wary. As soon as the call ended, we rang our bank straight away, and they confirmed it was a phishing scam. Stay alert!!!1 dayMy mum got a text from this number warning about a big payment trying to go from her bank account. She rang them back, and they started asking for personal stuff like how much money she had, then they just left her waiting on the line. She hung up, but they kept ringing her again, this time from a private number. Honestly, if you get a message from them, don’t bother calling back!!1 dayI got a text saying it was from my bank and they were going to take money out of my account.
