Got two calls within just 3 minutes around 9 in the morning. My phone was set to answer machine mode, but they just dropped the call and didn’t say a word.

Got three calls off this number and it's just like others said before. I told him straight up ‘no thanks, not interested’ but he just carried on asking stuff about the boiler. Proper irritating. I ended up blocking it.

Got a call from some bloke claiming it was about a government grant for a new boiler, you know the usual scam. This time it was an Asian guy wanting to talk to whoever owns the house. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call with no number showing on my screen and when I picked up, nobody said a word. The phone just says 'no number' but when I checked with 1471, it actually showed the number behind it. BT really should do something to block these kinds of calls.

Got a call from abroad asking if the homeowner was there. Told them off and they just kept calling non stop on my regular landline. Had to block the cheeky blokes. I've only had this extra line for about half a year, signed up with TPS and even put myself on the ex-directory list, so how do these muppets still get through and pester me with their rubbish?

Weird thing is, there was no voicemail or anything. The caller ID just said ‘international’, which got me curious, so I looked it up. Turns out this number’s supposedly from Stafford, near Birmingham. If they’re fibbing about where they’re calling from, I’d reckon anything they say if you pick up is probably nonsense. Best to just ignore this one altogether.

got a call this morning at like 8:15, someone wanted to chat with the owner of the house. when i asked if she realised how early it was, she just hung up on me. definitely didn’t sound like she was local or anything. why do these folks keep bothering decent people instead of just disappearing? so annoying!

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, but the person hung up as soon as I picked up. I’ve blocked the number now so it won’t bother me again.
